Signed, numbered (5/12) and dated (1996) on the bottom of the sculpture.

This beautiful bronze sculpture depicts a stately female figure standing tall with a calm, understated power. The rounded, compact forms give her a robust yet refined appearance, while the subtly rough modeling creates a vibrant texture and depth. The dark patina enhances the bronze's warm glow and beautifully reveals soft nuances as the light glides across the surface.

Her pose is calm and confident: the slightly forward-placed arms suggest an open, almost inviting gesture without becoming dramatic. The elegant, flared base creates a natural transition between the figure and the plinth-shaped foot, giving the sculpture a harmonious balance.

As is characteristic of Karin Beek 's work, this sculpture exudes a quiet, inner strength that is immediately palpable. A timeless and unique work of art that fits perfectly in both modern and classic interiors. If you'd like a shorter version or an SEO-optimized one, I'd be happy to create one.

About the artist: Karin Beek

Karin Beek (1957)is a Dutch sculptor known for her refined figurative bronzes, in which humans and animals play central roles. Born in Arnhem, she trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Utrecht, where she developed within the tradition of delicate, realistic modeling. Since the 1980s, Beek has created a distinctive oeuvre of elegant, serenely designed sculptures that are both naturalistic and lightly stylized. Her human figures—often women in tranquil poses—exude tranquility, introspection, and gentle strength. She also creates many animal sculptures, including horses, dogs, and birds, in which she captures movement, alertness, and character with great precision. Beek works with subtle, organic forms and a warm patina that gives her bronzes a timeless appearance. Attention to detail, anatomy, and emotional nuance is at the heart of her artistic approach. Her work is widely appreciated by art collectors for its combination of technical mastery, poetic simplicity, and accessibility. Beek has earned a permanent place in contemporary Dutch figurative sculpture.
